Formed in 1983 and owned by Michael Johnson, Tony Leraris, and Craig Boone, Architecture Plus, Inc. is an eight person architecture and interior design firm located in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Its early projects involved additions and remodelings to many building types including historically significant buildings and complexes.  Today, Architecture Plus, Inc. has a wide variety of projects including Educational, Health Care, Civic, Corporate, Custom Residential and Churches - ranging in size from minor remodeling to more than 100,000 SF facilities. APlus Interior Design, a division of Architecture Plus, Inc., is located adjacent to the main office providing interior design services for not only the architects next door, but also other clients.



FEATURED PROJECT | Alma High School Basketball Arena

This project consists of a 150,000 SF addition to the existing High School at Alma, Arkansas. Design features include a regulation size basketball court with fixed and telescopic seating for over 3000 spectators and a separate basketball practice court which is designed to meet FEMA guidelines for a community tornado shelter. The building has a complete weight training room, modern dance room with a mirror, bar and shock absorbing flooring, a gymnastics room with a recessed spring floor as well as full locker / dressing / toilet facilities for all home and visitor teams. Sports medicine / trainer rooms have been included as well as areas for whirlpool baths, laundry and support facilities. There are also eleven classrooms as well as space for other sports, including volleyball and three indoor batting / pitching cages.
