FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH - SALLISAW
Hired in late 2002, we assisted the Building Committee in master planning a new Church building as well as assisting them in locating and securing a suitable site. Confined to an aging Sanctuary, crowded Sunday School rooms, accessibility issues, high utilities, a decision had been made to start fresh.
A master plan was developed and approved with the congregation aware (that) the building would be constructed in two Phases. Phase I with 14,600 SF included new offices, Sunday School rooms, music room, youth area, nursery, kitchen, and Fellowship Hall. The 3,000 SF Fellowship Hall seats 220 people currently used for Church Services with removable seating, projection screens, folding Altar area and choir risers.
All of the existing stain glass windows from the original Sanctuary were removed and used in various places throughout the new facility which was dedicated in early 2006.
