Renovating the Union Bookstore at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville was an exciting project for the design department as one team member is an alumni. In 2002 we were given the opportunity to create an updated, fresh image for the Bookstore. This design included not only new finishes, but also reallocation of office and storage space and redesign of the cashwraps and information desk.
We designed the new cashwrap to flow with the traffic to maximize the store's efficiency and allow an important line of site for the employees. The highlight of the project is the University Crest logo design that was laser-jet cut into the new rubber entry flooring, creating a unique and personal focal point.
